We are a German-speaking church that is part of the Free Evangelical Congregations (Freie evangelische Gemeinde, FeG). We call ourselves “free” because we value the personal choice to believe in Jesus Christ; “evangelical” because not only we share the heritage of the Reformation, but strive to spread and live out the Gospel; and finally “congregation” because we want to represent ourselves not as a confession of belief, but rather as a community of believers who serve God together. In contrast to the state church, we strongly believe in the separation of church and state and are fully funded by congregational contributions. Our belief is closely in line with mainline evangelical beliefs.
Although we are a German church, we have vibrant groups that strive to introduce Jesus to people from various nations and cultures. Currently, we have regular ministries among English, Spanish and Chinese speakers and some events geared towards French, Russian, Farsi, Tamil, Korean and Japanese speakers.
